Hello from Ascot Grange!
 
Its been such a busy time for us and we are thrilled to have welcomed our first residents last week as they made our new home theirs! 
 
We officially opened our doors to residents Monday 26th June having been given approval by the CQC. Ascot Grange offers extensive facilities within a luxurious, comfortable and homely environment. Assisted living enables residents to live independently with care and support available 24 hours a day. Our accommodation ranges from private studios all with ensuite facilities and stunning one bedroom apartments than enable couples to stay together. Many of our suites have garden views and patio doors enabling you to enjoy our beautiful surroundings in your own private space.

As Monday arrived the team welcomed our first four ladies through the door with flowers and gifts and their families enjoyed a three course meal in our fine dining restaurant, The Orangery. Our home offers a choice of dining facilities as well as our Little Violet Café where residents and visitors can enjoy coffee and a selection of delicious home made cakes prepared daily by our chef Russell.

We have a fabulous week of activities planned and are making good use of our in house spa and cinema as well as the beautiful landscaped gardens for some out door fun. As a pet friendly home, we are delighted to allow our residents the opportunity to still have their beloved pets living with them.

At Ascot Grange our award winning care is delivered by our very own in-house carers and nursing team, ensuring our residents can be supported up until the end of their lives. Our services also feature a dedicated specialist dementia suite.

Open Weekend Success!

What a fabulous weekend we have had here at Ascot Grange. This was our first opportunity to show visitors our stunning new home and we welcomed nearly 100 people in throughout the weekend.  Saturday commenced bright and early, the sun was shining and Councillor John Lenton and his wife Margaret, the newly appointed Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, gave a welcome speech. He then toured the home which he said was a welcome addition to the community and he can't wait to come back and meet our residents.

Throughout the weekend we served champagne and canapés prepared by our Head chef Russell and visitors enjoyed relaxing in our beautiful landscaped gardens while listening to the jazz band.

Guests had the opportunity to tour our 96 bedded home that offers independent and assisted living with a separate specialist dementia suite.  With a delightful café, two restaurants, cinema and spacious activities room, visitors were hugely impressed with the space and size of the accommodation on offer. Signatures award winning care will be on offer 24 hours a day enabling residents to have the care and support they need within a luxurious but home from home environment.

Tour our home!

Your first opportunity to tour our beautiful new home is fast approaching.

Saturday 10th June at 10am we have the official opening with the Mayor and will welcome visitors in.  Enjoy champagne and canapés while listening to the string quartet, meet the team and view our facilities and apartments.

Do call and confirm if you will be attending on 01344 797805 and don't worry if you cant make it we are offering a second chance to view on Sunday the 11th June at 11am.

Ascot Grange will officially be accepting residents from the 26th June and is delighted that Signature's award winning care is available here in Berkshire.

Art Competition!

The team at Ascot Grange had a great visit today to Hurst Lodge School. Year 6 children were invited to draw pictures illustrating what they loved about their Grandparents. It was extremely hard to choose a winner and we were delighted to announce that Savannah and Maria both won a place in the homes art gallery. Ascot Grange presented the winners with a £25 Amazon Voucher each and made a £100 donation to the school for art supplies. We look forward to working more with the school on another projects and inviting them to visit soon.

Visit from the Mayor!

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to Ascot Grange today. Councillor Sayonara Luxton was hugely impressed with the facilities and was very excited to meet the team and understand how we will be supporting the local Community.  We will be welcoming her back in July when our first residents have moved in to their new home. Spring has sprung!

Good morning everyone, from a very sunny Ascot Grange. With Easter approaching and the nicer weather ahead, the build is progressing quickly and our gardens are starting to take shape.  This weekend the turf has been laid and shrubs planted and its made such a difference.

We have landscaping plans here at the Marketing Suite if anyone is interested in learning more about our gardens.

Here at Ascot Grange we are hugely passionate about supporting individuals and encouraging them to enjoy the things they love. If gardening is your passion then you will be delighted to know we have a residents greenhouse with raised flower beds and some of our rooms have patio doors on to their own outside space.

New team member joins Ascot Grange

Jo Barnard joins Ascot Grange as HR Manager, Jo shares with us her experience;

I have worked in HR for 9 years across different sectors and have gained some invaluable experience during this time. After leaving College I started to work as a temporary HR/Payroll Administrator for DHL on the B&Q contract, initially only for 12 weeks. My contract was extended by a further 3 years where I worked on many different sites where needed leading me to being asked to manage the recruitment and selection proces for a new B&Q Distribution centre they opened in Swindon. I then went on to work for TJX Europe (commonly known as TK Maxx and Homesense stores) where I managed all ER queries with my team, for all UK and Ireland stores. During my time there, I gained my CIPD qualification. More recently I worked for a Technology Company – Acal Technology Solutions LTD.

I have joined Signature Ascot Grange at a really exciting time and I am looking forward to seeing the Community, residents and Employees grow. My first few months will be focusing on recruiting all staff members who will help to make the home a success and are true examples of the Signature model.

New Ascot Care Home Boosts Cricket Club Renovations

 

 

Ascot Grange Care and Nursing home are delighted to be sponsoring Royal Ascot Cricket Club with a contribution towards their clubhouse renovation fund.  Mark Wiggett Chairman of the Club and his colleague Steven Clarke, Chairman of fundraising proudly displayed the new banner that Client Liaison Manager Robin Longman had produced.  Robin said “We are delighted to be able to support local businesses and in particular one that our residents and their families will enjoy being involved in.  We can't wait to bring people over to watch the matches”.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for us all here at Ascot Grange. We have opened the doors to our information centre and welcomed lots of visitors to view our show suites. We are delighted with the warm response we received from so many people in the local community and are excited about all the things to come.

One of the questions many of our visitors have asked is the best way to fund long term care.  We are therefore delighted to be able to offer a free financial clinic on Wednesday 25th January. Nick Truss from MDS financial will be here between 10am and 3pm to help guide and support those interested in the options available, a no obligation session to help put your mind completely at rest in terms of funding. Appointment slots are limited so please call ahead to confirm your time.

It’s a cold frosty January and we have officially opened the doors to our information suite at Ascot Grange.  It’s an exciting time for us as we welcome visitors to view our beautiful show suites and the plans of our new home.  We understand it can be a difficult journey making the move from your own home and our Client Liaison Managers on site are there to support you with the whole moving process. 

Ascot Grange will have 66 private apartments that vary from studios to one bedroom suites, all offering Signature’s exceptional residential and nursing care with outstanding services and facilities. The home will offer a choice of restaurants, a café, cinema, hair salon and spa facilities as well as a beautiful south facing garden. In addition there will be a separate dementia suite with 23 private apartments all with ensuites offering Signatures specialist dementia care.

Ascot Grange announces its General Manager | David Taylor

Following ten years in the Royal Air Force, David decided to train as a nurse in Norwich and followed a career in Accident and Emergency nursing. He joined a hospital in Saudi Arabia where he was responsible for the running of the Emergency Room and the hospital cardiac arrest team. 

David later returned to the UK and became a staff nurse within a renal unit. He went on to be an inflight nurse with the Air Ambulance, before he moved in to the elderly care sector. David joins us with a huge amount of experience from working within the private sector and has successfully supported other providers with the operational challenges they may have. He has successfully run several large care homes, more recently in Jersey. 

David is delighted to be part of the Ascot Grange team and is looking forward to bringing his extensive knowledge to the local area.  David is keen to be actively involved by supporting our residents and their families as well as helping to grow and develop the new team here at Ascot Grange.

Welcome to Ascot Grange!

Hello everyone and welcome to our first post about Ascot Grange. We are delighted that you have taken the time to read this and share our journey as our new building is approaching completion and will truly become a home as we welcome new residents.

Ascot Grange is currently under construction and due to open Summer 2017. Early 2017 our information suite will open and we would be delighted if you came down to visit the site and view our stunning show suites.

Ascot Grange will feature 66 private apartments that vary from studios to one bedroom suites. The home will offer Signature’s exceptional residential and nursing care and outstanding facilities and services, all within a comfortable, friendly and home-like environment. At Signature, we are dedicated to treating every member of our community with the respect, dignity and the individuality they deserve.

In addition to this, the home will also feature 23 specialist dementia suites, designed especially to offer unique support for those requiring specialist dementia care. It truly is a home for life and we aim to support those on whatever journey they may be on in an environment that feels like home.

The home will include 2 restaurants, one a bistro for casual dining, and one a beautifully designed restaurant with private dining facilities, for those extra special family get togethers.  Even more exciting, the home will have its very own cinema room guaranteed to keep everyone entertained, a hair salon and therapy room together with several activity rooms providing activities seven days a week!
